Note: All of these integrations require a true POTS line. The AX Series cannot interact with a digital phone line, even if the Viking adapters can.

Summary

The Viking K-1900-5 is used for the CO Line Transfer mode, transferring a door station call to a programmed telephone number. With communication established on the phone line, the Viking RC-2A allows the telephone to trigger a single door release contact.

 

Wiring Diagram

Max. distance from each door station to AX CEU is 980 feet with CAT-5e/6.
Max. distance from each master station to AX exchange is 980 feet with CAT-5e/6.

 

 
When programming the K-1900-5, depress *02 after the access code to allow use of the RC-2A. The default access code for the K-1900-5 is 845464 (V-I-K-I-N-G).
 
The RC-2A will only provide one door release contact. For multiple contacts, up to three Viking RC-3 adaptors can be used for three contacts each, for a total of nine selective contacts.
