JOW Mobile App receiving calls from previously configured JO-1MDW stations

Summary

Intercom App Type B receive calls that disconnect quickly and cannot be answered. This will happen on phones that have been registered to previously configured JO-1MDW master stations.

Solution

If the phone is not removed from a JO-1MDW’s list of registered apps, the JO-1MDW will try to call the phone, but it will not be able to connect. A few examples of this would be registering the same phone on multiple systems for testing, or users who replace their JO-1MDW master stations. A couple of solutions to help resolve this issue can be found below.

Option A
  • If replacing a JO-1MDW master station, factory default the master station and remove the app from the smartphones that were registered to the original JO-1MDW. Next, install the app on the smartphone and reregister to the new JO-1MDW.
Option B
  • If using a phone that is frequently used to test JO-1MDW installations, make sure to remove the phone from the JO-1MDW’s list of apps before leaving the site.
    • Under Settings, go to Other Settings, and then to Register/Delete Apps.
    • Tap the mobile device to delete. Press the check mark to confirm the deletion.
